There’s no one having more fun with makeup right now than Zara Larsson. The Swedish popstar’s signature glam lands somewhere between Britney Spears and Lisa Frank, with colorful eyeshadow, sun-kissed skin, and rhinestone accents bringing a sort of Y2K nostalgia to her look. As she rounds out the U.S. leg of her “Midnight Sun” tour—and celebrates the recent release of her “Girls Trip” remix album—Larsson has been everywhere, and frankly, we can’t get enough of her sparkly personality (and matching makeup looks). That’s why we’ve rounded up her best beauty moments to enjoy, screenshot, and recreate expeditiously. Plus, we chatted with celebrity makeup artist Ernesto Casillas to get the scoop on one of her most award-winning looks. Ready? Let’s go.
It's about glam time you treated yourself.

There’s no better way to heat up your summer than with this sunset glam. We love how the bright pink tones fade into orange, which you can recreate with some detailed blending. (Check out our tips here.) If you want a little extra sparkle—and let’s be real, who doesn’t—use some eyelash glue to stick some colorful rhinestones to your lids. How many you add is totally up to you!
You don’t have to be on the dance floor to shimmer this bright. The key to this glitter eyeshadow look? A good eyeshadow primer, like the silicone-free BAREMINERALS PRIME TIME® Eyeshadow Extender. It’ll prevent glitter fallout to keep your glam going all night. Pro tip: When applying your eyeshadow, press the product onto your lid using your finger or a flat, dense brush. It’ll create a more foil-like effect and keep the product from getting lost between the bristles instead of on your eyes.
The inspo behind Larsson’s radiant makeup for the Billboard Women in Music Awards? “Sun-kissed Malibu Barbie,” says makeup artist Ernesto Casillas, who created the look in collaboration with Morphe. “I wanted to play with colors in a more natural, wearable way,” he adds. “I played with various tones and textures of pink and bronze.” To get the look, he used the MORPHE Cheek Thrills Bronze & Tone Duos in Amalfi Coast for a natural glow, as well as the MORPHE Micro Brow Dual-Ended Pencil in Latte for sharp yet effortless brows.
This electric blue eye look is shocking in all the right ways, and it’s super easy to recreate (even if you’re relatively new to makeup). You’ll need a blue eyeliner, like this ICONIC LONDON Smokey Eye Duo Kajal Eyeliner in shade Electric Blue, plus a matching blue mascara. We recommend the LAVAA BEAUTY No Chill Mascara in Cobalt. Use your eyeliner to draw a sharp wing—don’t worry, you can clean this up later with a Q-tip dipped in makeup remover—and apply some false lashes to really make the look pop before topping it all off with your mascara. Easy, breezy, electric!
We absolutely love how this fuchsia eyeshadow seamlessly blends into blush. The best part? You can use one product to get the look. A soft purple powder blush is perfect for blending into the outer eyes and down to your cheekbones. Paired with a brown accent lipliner, like the BAREMINERALS MINERALIST® Lasting Lip Liner in Calming Cocoa, you’ve got a glam just as unique as you are.
This glam is as fierce as it gets. Its pastel eyeshadows, wispy fake lashes, and bold cat-eye—no pun intended—are a look on their own, but the leopard-print accents are the real star of the show. They’re easier to draw on than you might think, too. Grab a black liquid eyeliner and create your leopard spots with small C-shaped lines, mixing up their size and direction. Go wild! Finish them off by using a small, dense brush to apply some glitter in the middle.
If you’re looking for a more wearable Zara Larsson look, try out this subtly glowing glam. Make your skin look sun-kissed with a radiant skin tint, dewy highlighter, or tanning mist (or all three). Personally, our pick is the hydrating ICONIC LONDON Prep-Set-Tan Tanning Mist, which has extracts of cucumber and chamomile to give your skin a lit-from-within glow, plus antioxidants, green tea, and vitamin E to help condition your skin. Throw in a shimmery inner-corner highlight and you’re gleaming like the “Midnight Sun.”
At this point, it feels like there are as many versions of Zara Larsson as there are Barbies, and this glam is absolutely Dreamhouse-worthy. Get the ultra-vivid look with the limited-edition SMASHBOX COSMETICS Hot Stx Blush Stick, applying the product in a gradient from the apples of your cheeks up your cheekbones. Then, dab a small smudging brush on the blush and apply some underneath your eyes to really make them stand out. A little white eyeshadow on the browbone, baby blue shadow on the lid, and lengthy falsies will help you bring the drama. Try the J LASH Faux Mink Lashes for a fluttery, fabulous look.
Can’t decide on an eyeshadow color? Wear them all with this rainbow glam, which is perfect for Pride or any day you want to express your true colors. A comprehensive eyeshadow palette comes in handy here, especially if there’s a white shade included, since you’ll want to use that color as your base. After applying, layer on your eyeshadow colors in the order you want, using a fluffy eyeshadow brush to carefully blend between the lines. Make sure to dust off your brush or switch it out entirely between colors to avoid your shadow looking muddled. Top it all off by using eyelash glue to press on rhinestones.
How cool is this icy eye look? Its teal accents and coral blush complement each other so well, and remind us of ’80s Miami in the best way—the only thing missing here is a pair of sparkly roller skates. If you’re planning to copy this look, make your eyeshadow color pop by layering on some primer and white eyeshadow first. Follow it up with a bright coral blush, like the top-rated NUDESTIX Nudies Matte All Over Face Blush Color in Picante or the pigmented TOUCH IN SOL Pretty Filter In My Heart Stick Blush in shade Sunset Coral.
